Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Previous janitorial experience
  • Knowledge of safety and security procedures
  • Compliance with environmental policies related to cleaning chemicals
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service
  • Ability to follow schedules and commitments
  • Physical ability to perform labor and operate janitorial power equipment
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to follow supervisor directions
  • Demonstrated professionalism
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Obtain Fire Life Safety Director certificate within first year
  • Obtain S12 & S13 certificates of fitness within first year

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Previous janitorial experience required
  • Knowledge and understanding of safety and security procedures and compliance with environmental policies as they apply to cleaning chemicals
  • Must provide exceptional customer service to all tenant employees and staff
  • Ability to follow schedules and keep commitments
  • Must be able to do physical work and operate power equipment normally found in janitorial operations
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to follow directions from a supervisor
  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism
  • Must be able to manage time efficiently and to work individually as well as within a team
  • Must have or obtain Fire Life Safety Director certificate within the first year of employment
  • Must have or obtain S12 & S13 certificates of fitness within the first year of employment

Job Duties

  • Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
  • Clean and supply restrooms
  • Clean windows and mirrors
  • Dusting, and other tasks related with general cleaning
  • Trash removal, recycling and compacting
  • Replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies
  • Operating floor machines for cleaning, waxing and buffing
  • Machine cleaning/maintenance as needed
  • Employee moves, rearranging furniture as needed
  • Complete assigned work orders
  • Other general cleaning or light-duty maintenance responsibility as assigned
  • Provide support for dock/freight activities, receive, and log all parcels, and deliver to end users
  • Lobby attendant, check in visitors, organize/direct deliveries, and the like
  • Ability to maintain organized and accurate records
