Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Previous janitorial experience
- Knowledge of safety and security procedures
- Compliance with environmental policies related to cleaning chemicals
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Ability to follow schedules and commitments
- Physical ability to perform labor and operate janitorial power equipment
- Attention to detail
- Ability to follow supervisor directions
- Demonstrated professionalism
- Time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Obtain Fire Life Safety Director certificate within first year
- Obtain S12 & S13 certificates of fitness within first year
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Previous janitorial experience required
- Knowledge and understanding of safety and security procedures and compliance with environmental policies as they apply to cleaning chemicals
- Must provide exceptional customer service to all tenant employees and staff
- Ability to follow schedules and keep commitments
- Must be able to do physical work and operate power equipment normally found in janitorial operations
- Attention to detail
- Ability to follow directions from a supervisor
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism
- Must be able to manage time efficiently and to work individually as well as within a team
- Must have or obtain Fire Life Safety Director certificate within the first year of employment
- Must have or obtain S12 & S13 certificates of fitness within the first year of employment
Job Duties
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
- Clean and supply restrooms
- Clean windows and mirrors
- Dusting, and other tasks related with general cleaning
- Trash removal, recycling and compacting
- Replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies
- Operating floor machines for cleaning, waxing and buffing
- Machine cleaning/maintenance as needed
- Employee moves, rearranging furniture as needed
- Complete assigned work orders
- Other general cleaning or light-duty maintenance responsibility as assigned
- Provide support for dock/freight activities, receive, and log all parcels, and deliver to end users
- Lobby attendant, check in visitors, organize/direct deliveries, and the like
- Ability to maintain organized and accurate records
