Job Requirements
- High school education or GED preferred
- Ability to stand or walk for 6-8 hours in an 8 hour workday
- Minimum 1-3 years experience in housekeeping, preferably in hospitality or health care
- Positive attitude toward customer service
- Capability to perform moving of furniture and assisting with move-in preparation
- Must comply with OSHA safety standards
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse team
Job Qualifications
- High school education or GED preferred but not required
- Preferred minimum experience of 1-3 years in housekeeping, preferably in a hospitality or health care environment
- Ability to work standing or walking for 6-8 hours in an 8 hour workday
- Genuine interest in geriatric care and strong positive attitude toward customer service
- Ability to motivate self and maintain effective relationships with staff and residents
Job Duties
- Performs both routine and periodic cleaning of common or non-residential areas including corridors, restrooms, offices, break rooms, and utility rooms according to prescribed standards and guidelines
- Performs floor care such as vacuuming, extracting, sweeping, mopping, waxing, buffing, and spot cleaning
- Removes trash from facilities and polices grounds for trash
- Washes windows and provides resident assistance with carrying baggage when necessary
- Cleans resident carpets and assists housekeepers in resident homes as needed
- Provides support for cleanup of leaks, spills, floods, fires, and other emergency situations
- Maintains work area and ensures the department complies with OSHA safety standards
- Demonstrates community hospitality promises towards residents, families, associates, and vendors
