Job Requirements

  • High school education or GED preferred
  • Ability to stand or walk for 6-8 hours in an 8 hour workday
  • Minimum 1-3 years experience in housekeeping, preferably in hospitality or health care
  • Positive attitude toward customer service
  • Capability to perform moving of furniture and assisting with move-in preparation
  • Must comply with OSHA safety standards
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse team

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or GED preferred but not required
  • Preferred minimum experience of 1-3 years in housekeeping, preferably in a hospitality or health care environment
  • Ability to work standing or walking for 6-8 hours in an 8 hour workday
  • Genuine interest in geriatric care and strong positive attitude toward customer service
  • Ability to motivate self and maintain effective relationships with staff and residents

Job Duties

  • Performs both routine and periodic cleaning of common or non-residential areas including corridors, restrooms, offices, break rooms, and utility rooms according to prescribed standards and guidelines
  • Performs floor care such as vacuuming, extracting, sweeping, mopping, waxing, buffing, and spot cleaning
  • Removes trash from facilities and polices grounds for trash
  • Washes windows and provides resident assistance with carrying baggage when necessary
  • Cleans resident carpets and assists housekeepers in resident homes as needed
  • Provides support for cleanup of leaks, spills, floods, fires, and other emergency situations
  • Maintains work area and ensures the department complies with OSHA safety standards
  • Demonstrates community hospitality promises towards residents, families, associates, and vendors
