Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior janitorial or cleaning experience preferred
  • ability to lift and move furniture and appliances
  • reliable and punctual
  • ability to work full-time
  • capability to follow safety protocols including OSHA standards

Job Qualifications

  • positive attitude toward customer service
  • genuine interest in geriatric care
  • ability to motivate self and maintain positive relationships with staff and residents
  • creativity in accomplishing facility goals
  • experience with cleaning and maintenance tasks preferred

Job Duties

  • perform routine and periodic cleaning of common or non-residential areas such as corridors, restrooms, offices, break rooms, and utility rooms
  • provide floor care including vacuuming, extracting, sweeping, mopping, waxing, buffing and spotting
  • remove trash and police grounds for cleanliness
  • clean elevators
  • perform high and low dusting
  • clean walls and other assigned surfaces
  • wash windows and assist residents with carrying baggage
  • clean resident carpets and assist housekeepers in resident homes
  • support cleanup of leaks, spills, floods, and fire incidents
  • maintain work area and comply with OSHA safety standards
  • demonstrate community hospitality promises toward residents, families, associates, and vendors
