Job Qualifications
- Previous food and beverage experience preferred
- Ability to work full-time Monday through Friday with varying hours
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards including HACCP guidelines
- Ability to follow company policies including use of protective gloves and slip-resistant shoes
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to lift and transport heavy items safely
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Ensures tables are bussed, cleared and cleaned and floors are swept during peak service times and prepped prior to service
- Follows safety procedures when transporting dishes and utensils to the kitchen using trays, bus tubs or carts
- Washes dishes, glasses and pots and cleans cooking stations and equipment maintaining sanitation standards
- Scrapes and rinses food from dishes and washes them by hand or uses dishwashing machines ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation
- Keeps display equipment clean and compliant with safety and sanitation standards during meal service
- Helps receive heavy deliveries from dock and transports them to storage areas observing safe lifting standards
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures while following HACCP standards
