Job Requirements
- One year of previous porter experience preferred
- Ability to work a full-time schedule typically from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with flexible days
- Compliance with safety and sanitation standards
- Personal commitment to safety
- Ability to perform manual labor including heavy lifting
- Willingness to follow company policies including use of protective gloves and slip-resistant shoes
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of porter experience preferred
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety procedures
- Ability to lift heavy items safely
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow company policies and procedures
Job Duties
- Ensures tables are bussed, cleared and cleaned and floors are cleared and swept during peak service times and are prepped prior to service
- Follows safety procedures when transporting dishes and utensils from front of the house to the kitchen area
- Washes dishes, glasses and pots and cleans cooking stations and equipment maintaining sanitation standards
- Scrapes and rinses food from dishes and washes them by hand or with dishwashing machine ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation
- Keeps display equipment clean, free of debris and compliant with safety and sanitation standards during meal service
- Helps receive heavy deliveries and transports them to storage areas observing safe lifting standards
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures following HACCP standards
