Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior housekeeping or cleaning experience is a plus
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • physical ability to perform cleaning duties and operate equipment
  • ability to follow safety and infection control protocols
  • willingness to learn and adapt to facility standards
  • ability to work collaboratively with team members

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • ability to read, write and comprehend English
  • ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
  • strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
  • knowledge of cleaning protocols, infection control, fire prevention and safety measures in long-term care are highly valued but not required
  • compassionate and empathetic nature
  • ability to work effectively in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Perform daily cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing common areas and resident rooms
  • ensure cleanliness and hygiene in bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas
  • dispose of trash and waste
  • monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed
  • collaborate with other staff members to maintain a safe and organized environment
  • respond promptly to housekeeping requests from residents and staff
  • operate cleaning equipment such as buffing machines and vacuums
  • assist with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed to support facility operations and events
