Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years experience in a commercial kitchen preferred
- Ability to work part-time approximately 16 hours per week including every other Monday Friday and weekend shifts
- Ability to operate dishwashing machinery
- Physical ability to perform cleaning duties including lifting and standing for extended periods
- Willingness to learn and adhere to infection control procedures
- Reliable and punctual
- Good interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
- 1-3 years experience working in a commercial kitchen
- Nursing home experience is a plus
- Willingness to train
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation protocols
Job Duties
- Responsible for care and cleaning of Culinary Department including kitchen equipment refrigeration units dining rooms and storerooms
- Operates dishwashing machine
- Keeps all food service areas in a sanitary condition
- Cleans all tables work surfaces walls windows floors and storage units
- Cleans all food service equipment and refrigeration units
- Washes air dries and stores all kitchenware and utensils
- Washes and sanitizes all trash cans including dining room trash cans
- Sets up trays and tables as well as serves trays
- Serves in the dining rooms when needed
- Buses tables in the dining rooms when necessary
- Observes infection control procedures related to the Culinary Department
- Follows facility safety program
