Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in janitorial or sanitation roles preferred
- Knowledge of USDA, FDA, and HACCP guidelines preferred
- Ability to operate floor scrubbers and other cleaning equipment
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 30 pounds
- Physical capability to perform duties requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching for extended periods
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and cleaning schedules
- Commitment to hygiene and safety standards in a food production environment
Job Qualifications
- Ability to operate and maintain cleaning equipment
- Ability to follow and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and push and pull up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods
- Ability to safely climb and work from a 6-foot ladder
- Ability to work in wet, humid, and cold environments
- Strong organizational skills to follow cleaning schedules and prioritize tasks efficiently
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties
- Sweep, mop, and clean floors in all designated areas, including hallways, lobbies, restrooms, cafeteria, offices, stairwells, and production areas
- Clean and sanitize furniture, shelves, work surfaces, walls, baseboards, and all high-touch areas such as light switches, door handles, and railings
- Clean and sanitize walls, partitions, and other vertical surfaces, removing grease, stains, and scuff marks
- Clean and disinfect restrooms thoroughly, including toilets/urinals, sinks, mirrors, and countertops
- Restock hand wash station supplies, such as soap, hand sanitizer, paper towels, ensuring they are adequately stocked
- Remove trash and replace liners in all waste receptacles, ensuring proper disposal of waste materials and adherence to recycling guidelines, regularly check bins for overflows and/or odors
- Clean glass surfaces, including windows and mirrors
- Clean walls, railings, stairwells, and door frames, focusing on frequently touched surfaces and areas prone to dirt accumulation, wipe down handrails and stair edges
- Clean and sanitize pipes, vents, and door air curtains ensuring they remain free from dirt, dust, grease, and allergens
- Wipe down and sanitize plastic gondolas & cleaning bins, and all equipment used for transporting waste ensuring they are free from contamination and odors after each use
- Ensure proper organization of cleaning supplies in janitorial closets and stations, keeping mops, brooms, cleaning chemicals, and rags neatly stored
- Use appropriate cleaning agents and disinfectants for different surfaces, such as floor cleaners, degreasers, and sanitizer sprays
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers
- Ensure the completion of cleaning schedules tasks and signing off on each task performed to verify compliance with cleanliness standards
