Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of experience in a similar Porter or maintenance role preferred
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic computer and internet knowledge
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including sitting, standing, walking, climbing, and reaching
  • Ability to operate tools and equipment safely
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Availability to work Tuesday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including some nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
  • Reliable attendance and participation in company functions

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of Porter experience preferred
  • High school education or equivalent is preferred
  • Accurately perform basic mathematical functions
  • Beginner computer and Internet knowledge preferred
  • Ability to use on-site resident management software preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and reach using feet, legs, back, arms and hands
  • Ability to climb occasionally
  • Ability to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to detect auditory and/or visual alarms
  • Willingness to work extended or flexible hours and weekends as needed
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and career growth

Job Duties

  • Responsible for meticulous upkeep and trash removal of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing office, parking lots, and community common areas
  • Assist in the cleaning and preparation of units including trash removal from vacant apartments
  • Complete weather preparation and clean up as needed
  • Organize, maintain, and utilize provided supplies in a cost-effective manner
  • Present an appearance appropriate to the image of the company
  • Complete additional tasks or duties assigned by community leadership
