Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of experience in a similar Porter or maintenance role preferred
- Basic math skills
- Basic computer and internet knowledge
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including sitting, standing, walking, climbing, and reaching
- Ability to operate tools and equipment safely
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Availability to work Tuesday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including some nights, weekends, and holidays
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
- Reliable attendance and participation in company functions
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of Porter experience preferred
- High school education or equivalent is preferred
- Accurately perform basic mathematical functions
- Beginner computer and Internet knowledge preferred
- Ability to use on-site resident management software preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and reach using feet, legs, back, arms and hands
- Ability to climb occasionally
- Ability to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Ability to detect auditory and/or visual alarms
- Willingness to work extended or flexible hours and weekends as needed
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and career growth
Job Duties
- Responsible for meticulous upkeep and trash removal of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing office, parking lots, and community common areas
- Assist in the cleaning and preparation of units including trash removal from vacant apartments
- Complete weather preparation and clean up as needed
- Organize, maintain, and utilize provided supplies in a cost-effective manner
- Present an appearance appropriate to the image of the company
- Complete additional tasks or duties assigned by community leadership
