Job Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for entire shift
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, lift, shake, stir, pour, carry, and push
- Ability to read orders on tickets, menu boards, and receipts
- Frequent hand washing
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Commitment to punctuality and uniform standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in food service or fast food environment is a plus
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment and perform food preparation
- Willingness to learn and achieve station certifications
- Basic math and cash handling skills
Job Duties
- Protects and promotes the Whataburger brand at all times
- Notifies management with sufficient lead time when unable to report to work
- Checks with management prior to leaving the restaurant at scheduled time
- Recognizes and communicates customer service problems to the manager
- Attends all meetings and training sessions as required
- Demonstrates Whataburger's family value proposition, pride, care, and love
- Continues to learn and improve job skills
- Prepares all products according to quality standards
- Supports food production through preparation and stocking
- Performs maintenance tasks as scheduled or assigned
- Operates food production or customer service stations as directed
- Stocks drink, fry, dining room stations, and grill area
- Cleans customer service areas following proper procedures
- Answers the phone courteously according to Whataburger procedure
- Demonstrates fiscal responsibility with company assets
- Follows company cash handling policies
- Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned
