Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements
  • Ability to understand and perform on-site software functions
  • Regular and daily onsite attendance
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and nights for on-call emergencies
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting over 100 pounds, climbing ladders and stairs, and working outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members
  • Must follow safety standards and maintain a clean and organized work area

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills and ability to perform on-site software functions
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws
  • Understanding of OSHA requirements
  • Experience working in property maintenance preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Assist in carrying out maintenance processes including corrective, preventative, routine, and cosmetic maintenance
  • Responsible for cleaning, trash removal, and general upkeep of grounds, buildings, breezeways, and community common areas
  • Respond to resident and management requests for maintenance work orders promptly
  • Inspect grounds and buildings daily to identify and correct hazards or liabilities
  • Maintain a preventative maintenance program to extend community asset life
  • Follow Asset Living’s key policies and OSHA safety guidelines
  • Maintain an organized and stocked maintenance shop
  • Assist in hazard communication and promote safe work practices
  • Participate in unit inspections as requested
  • Report any violations of community rules to supervisors
  • Use property resources, equipment, and supplies economically
  • Perform additional tasks as requested by Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager
  • Participate in on-call emergency duty
  • Provide excellent customer service and monitor maintenance request responsiveness
  • Enforce community policies as delegated
  • Project a positive image of the community to residents and visitors
