Job Requirements
- Ability to move throughout the dining room effectively
- Ability to lift and carry serving trays weighing up to 15lbs and bus tubs weighing up to 40 lbs
- Ability to perform reaching and stooping motions
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a janitorial or utility porter role is preferred but not required
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and carrying cleaning equipment and supplies
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and sanitation
- Positive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Availability to work evenings weekends and holidays as needed
Job Duties
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping mopping vacuuming and disinfecting common areas restrooms and dining spaces
- Empty trash bins and recycling containers replace liners and dispose of waste in a hygienic and environmentally responsible manner
- Monitor and clean restrooms regularly replenishing supplies such as soap paper towels and toilet paper as needed
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of floors by mopping waxing and buffing as necessary
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department and assist in minor repairs or adjustments as directed
- Assist in setting up and breaking down tables chairs and equipment for events meetings or special occasions
- Ensure that cleaning supplies restroom supplies and other essentials are well-stocked and readily available
- Collaborate with the cleaning and maintenance team to ensure efficient and effective operations
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to efficiently clean and sanitize dishes glassware utensils pots and pans for back of house positions
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area by regularly emptying trash cleaning food preparation areas and ensuring equipment is clean and in good working order for back of house positions
- Sort and stack clean dishes and utensils in an organized manner for easy access by kitchen staff for back of house positions
- Provide support to kitchen staff as needed including helping with food preparation and basic kitchen tasks during busy periods for back of house positions
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards including proper handling of chemicals and cleaning agents for back of house positions
