Job Requirements
- Ability to move throughout the dining room effectively
- Ability to lift and carry serving trays weighing up to 15lbs
- Ability to lift and carry bus tubs weighing up to 40 lbs
- Ability to perform reaching and stooping motions
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in janitorial or utility porter role preferred but not required
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and carrying equipment and supplies
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation
- Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Availability to work evenings weekends and holidays as needed
Job Duties
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping mopping vacuuming and disinfecting common areas restrooms and dining spaces
- Empty trash bins and recycling containers replace liners and dispose of waste hygienically
- Monitor and clean restrooms regularly replenishing supplies such as soap paper towels and toilet paper
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of floors by mopping waxing and buffing
- Report maintenance issues and assist in minor repairs as directed
- Assist in setting up and breaking down tables chairs and equipment for events meetings or special occasions
- Ensure cleaning supplies restroom supplies and other essentials are well stocked and readily available
- Collaborate with cleaning and maintenance teams to ensure efficient operations
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize dishes glassware utensils pots and pans
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen by emptying trash cleaning food prep areas and ensuring equipment cleanliness
- Sort and stack clean dishes and utensils in an organized manner
- Provide support to kitchen staff including helping with food preparation and basic tasks during busy periods
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards including proper handling of chemicals and cleaning agents
