Job Requirements
- Satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check
- attend mandatory training and professional learning activities
- keep informed of and comply with state, district, and federal policies
- ability to perform manual skills necessary for work
- ability to read and understand safety and maintenance instructions
- ability to follow directives with minimum supervision
- knowledge of minor building repairs and maintenance techniques
- physical ability to perform duties involving standing, walking, lifting up to 44 pounds, balancing, reaching, and repetitive hand motions

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to perform manual tasks related to cleaning and maintenance
- knowledge of minor repair techniques and building maintenance

Job Duties
- Keep all areas of cafeteria neat, clean and sanitary, with special attention to chairs, benches, wall areas at tray drop off, and floors during and after serving times
- comply with local laws and procedures for storage and disposal of trash
- keep all areas of school building and grounds neat, clean and sanitary, including sidewalks, parking lots, play areas, athletic facilities, restrooms and offices
- maintain a regular cleaning schedule covering floors, boards, trash bins, carpets, furniture, fixtures, windows, restrooms and yard
- assist with inventory and supply requests for cleaning materials
- report and perform preventative maintenance in the cafeteria
- regulate HVAC systems for temperature and efficiency
- perform minor building repairs and report major repairs
- move furniture and equipment as directed
- assist in setting up and taking down facilities and equipment for special events
- follow procedures for locking and safeguarding facilities
- check exit doors, fire safety equipment, and ensure machinery safety
- operate tools safely
- correct unsafe conditions or report hazards
- compile and file required reports and records
- assist with lunchroom setup including arranging tables and chairs
