- ability to read and follow instructions
- physical ability to walk, stand, climb stairs
- lift materials and tools weighing 5-50 pounds
- ability to climb ladders and operate machinery frequently
- ability to shovel snow, reach above shoulder, push and pull occasionally

- experience in janitorial or cleaning services preferable
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- good communication skills
Job Duties
- General cleaning of common areas in assigned building
- general cleaning of perimeter of assigned building
- removal of garbage and recyclables in compliance with DSNY rules and regulations
- cleaning of compactor and garbage chute rooms
- assist Senior Superintendent, Handyman and Porters as assigned
- coordinate access for outside contractors as assigned
- additional responsibilities as assigned
