Job Requirements
- Knowledge to follow chemical safety and food safety procedures
- Ability to develop and adhere to sanitation schedules
- Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, sanitation processes, procedures and HACCP
- Ability to lead employees ensuring compliance with safety, company, and regulatory procedures
- Ability to ensure sanitation SOP is followed and documentation completed
- Attention to detail
- Ability to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
- Constant attendance and punctuality
- Ability to follow instructions and respond to management direction
- Ability to meet productivity standards and complete work timely
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
- 2+ years’ experience in cleaning, housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial roles
- Excellent attention to detail and self-organization
- Ability to deal with a heavy workload
- Flexibility to work different shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong prioritization skills
- Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently
Job Duties
- Follow established rules of the facility for entry to building and work areas in compliance with HACCP guidelines
- Comply with company sanitation Standard Operating Procedures including HACCP Plan and Good Manufacturing Practices
- Clean and sanitize all interior areas and external property
- Handle disposal of all waste products according to regulations
- Ensure spills are promptly cleaned and floors kept dry to minimize slips and falls
- Use proper detergents and degreasing solvents maintaining safe working environment
- Sanitize restrooms and areas of common personnel traffic including walls and floors
- Empty and clean refuse containers and dispose of refuse properly
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
