Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or 6 months of previous custodial work experience
  • ability to carry out simple but detailed instructions
  • ability to communicate with co-workers
  • must possess a positive team member attitude
  • ability to interact effectively and supportively with people with disabilities
  • ability to work in environments with narrow, moving, and/or slippery surfaces
  • access to the work site for this position may require a valid Real ID as of May 7th, 2025
  • must successfully pass a drug test

Job Duties

  • Cleaning offices, corridors, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, elevators, break room, library, closets, kitchenette, stairways, locker rooms, storage rooms, and other work areas
  • informs supervisor of problems, concerns, and safety issues
  • places wet floor signs out and umbrella bags as needed
  • sweeping floors using brooms and mops
  • cleaning rugs, carpets, furniture using a vacuum
  • dusting furniture and equipment
  • polishing brass
  • dusting woodwork
  • emptying wastebaskets
  • transporting trash to disposal area and recycling to designated areas
  • replenishing restroom supplies
  • spot cleaning carpet
  • responds to phone calls from designated government points of contact
  • responsible for carts for restrooms and trash and recycling
  • responds to emergency phone calls in their assigned building
  • responsible for producing quality work
  • responsible for appropriate conduct and demeanor as dictated by Didlake policy
  • responsible for following safety standards and guidelines in the proper use of the equipment
  • completes and maintains all Didlake required training
