Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior maintenance or cleaning experience in hospitality preferred
  • ability to stand for extended periods, kneel, stoop, and use stairs
  • capacity to lift 50 lbs
  • flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • effective verbal communication skills
  • must adhere to hygiene and safety regulations

  • Prior experience in maintenance or similar role in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment preferred

Job Duties

  • Maintain appearance and cleanliness of all areas of facility
  • conduct daily walkthroughs to ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, sanitation, and board of health regulations
  • sweep, mop, vacuum, replace and replenish paper goods
  • maintain cleanliness of all restrooms
  • ensure all light fixtures are properly maintained and cleaned
  • empty and properly dispose of all garbage and maintain cleanliness of trash basins
  • maintain clear paths for all fire exits in compliance with local regulations
  • participate in physical inventory of silverware, glassware, and utensils
  • collaborate with back of house management on ordering cleaning supplies
  • support back of house cleaning duties including organization and cleanliness of glassware, dishes, and equipment
  • perform minor repairs including light bulb changes and repair of damaged tables and chairs
  • aid in efforts to control glassware breakage or loss
  • report to work at scheduled times neatly groomed and in correct uniform
  • perform other duties as assigned by management
