  • ability to work early morning shifts
  • prior experience in similar roles preferred
  • basic understanding of cleaning and maintenance tools and equipment

Job Duties

  • Arrive at the restaurant
  • check restaurant security
  • turn off alarm system and night lights
  • assess maintenance and security from close
  • turn on front-line counter and kitchen lights
  • turn on heating or air conditioning if not automatic
  • remove grill and fryer exhaust hood filters
  • wash filters with hot water and dish detergent or spray clean
  • wipe stainless hoods and drip pans with hot water and sanitizer and dry with cloth
  • replace filters
  • wipe stainless hoods with stainless steel cleaner
  • turn on fryer hoods and fryer vats
  • change outdoor marquee before 7:00 a.m. with daily promotions
  • clean grill and grill area following safety precautions
  • put truck order away using First In, First Out method
  • clean and organize storage areas
  • maintain floors and garbage bins using appropriate cleaning tools
  • scrub baseboards
  • clean garbage bins inside and out
  • maintain parking lot, taking care of trash removal and surface cleaning
  • remove snow and apply Ice Melt when needed
  • maintain patio and dumpster areas
  • care for landscaping by watering plants, removing weeds, and trimming
  • organize inventory and stock rooms
  • check and change soft drink syrups and Co2 levels
  • perform seasonal maintenance tasks such as upkeep of bee traps
