Job Requirements

Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Work is performed in a variety of environmental conditions, with exposure to outdoor temperatures, weather variations, traffic and equipment noise, equipment vibrations, vehicle and/or chemical fumes, chemicals such as cleaning solvents and grease, machinery and their moving parts and dust
Must be able to move, bend, stoop, push/pull as appropriate for this physical job
Must have finger dexterity
Must be able to drive throughout the community and run errands outside the community if requested
Work duties may require the ability to stand or walk on hard surfaces for frequent and prolonged periods of time
Must be able to respond to requests and communicate to staff, coworkers, clients, and vendors
Consistent and regular attendance required
Some exposure to dust and noise
Some heavy lifting, standing, climbing

Job Qualifications

One year of experience of janitorial or custodial work
High school diploma or GED preferred
Possession of valid California Driver's License and state mandated vehicle insurance
Knowledge of cleaning and maintenance procedures
Ability to follow safety guidelines
Good communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

Room setups as needed
Cleaning floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming them per the prescribed schedule
Gather and empty trash daily on the interior and exterior of properties and the exterior common areas of the condos
Maintain dog waste dispensers daily at the facilities and condos
Service, clean, and supply restrooms daily and per the schedule
Spot check through-out day
Clean and polish furniture fixtures
Clean low-level windows, glass partitions and mirrors
Dust furniture, walls, machines and equipment
Mix water and detergent in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications
Maintain tennis courts, pickleball courts, bocce ball court, and shuffleboard court by blowing surfaces or performing the necessary cleaning per the prescribed schedule
Notify Facility Manager concerning the need or major repair or additions in the common area and file appropriate work order
Complete appropriate requisition for supplies and equipment as needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing work
Be courteous and pleasant to residents at all times
Maintain common areas including but not limited to sweeping decks, power washing walkways, removing cobwebs, cleaning deck furniture, emptying and cleaning ash trays, removing fallen yard debris, picking up garbage and disposing of garbage at appropriate disposal site
Power washing the exterior pool deck per the prescribed schedule
Power washing the dumpster enclosure per the prescribed schedule
Perform minor maintenance duties such as, but not limited to, painting, drywall repairs, and stucco repairs
Perform related duties and responsibilities as required
Maintain low level light fixtures
Familiarity with e-mail system
