Job Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs following appropriate safety procedure
- Ability to work in an upright standing position for long periods of time
- Ability to crawl in small and tight spaces
- Ability to work in different environmental working conditions including heat, cold, wind, and rain
- Ability to walk and climb stairs
- Ability to handle, finger, grasp, and feel objects and equipment
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property and building
- Ability to repeat various motions with the wrists, hands, and fingers
- Ability to complete all required forms
- Ability to respond to emergencies in a timely manner
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights above ground level up to 3 ft
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred
- Previous custodial experience preferred
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual preferred
Job Duties
- Performs a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties including sweeping, mopping, painting, shampooing, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, replacing light bulbs, and window cleaning
- Informs supervisor of needed supplies
- Maintains all cleaning solutions in accordance with OSHA requirements for hazardous chemicals
- Removes trash from premises and assists in emergency cleaning
- Properly utilizes new equipment and follows safety procedures prior to using this equipment
- Maintains a friendly and professional attitude
- Maintains the appropriate level of sanitary and cleaning supplies for assigned areas
- Inspects all assigned areas daily and reports discrepancies to the supervisor
- Ensures security procedures are always adhered to
- Follows all safety precautions while performing work
- Maintains working relationships with building staff
- Furnishes and burnishes floors as required
- Completes daily work orders as scheduled
- Maintains assigned equipment in good working condition
- Cleans restrooms including sweeping and mopping floors, refilling dispensers, cleaning toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, and counters
- Empties and removes trash
- Reports any discrepancies or deficiencies to supervisor
