Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • basic computer skills
  • knowledge of Fair Housing Laws
  • knowledge of OSHA requirements
  • ability to perform physical labor including lifting 100+ pounds
  • ability to work on ladders, stairs, and uneven terrain
  • ability to work overtime, nights, weekends, and on-call emergencies
  • effective communication skills
  • must reliably travel to and move around work sites

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • basic computer skills and ability to use on-site software
  • knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements
  • experience in property maintenance or related field preferred
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • customer service oriented
  • capable of safely handling physical labor and operating machinery

Job Duties

  • Assist in carrying out corrective maintenance
  • perform preventative and routine maintenance tasks
  • complete cosmetic maintenance as directed
  • support the make-ready process for rental units
  • attend daily on-site to maintain community grounds and common areas
  • respond promptly to resident and management maintenance requests
  • inspect property for hazardous conditions and take corrective action
  • maintain a well-stocked and organized maintenance shop
  • follow safety standards and OSHA guidelines
  • participate in unit inspections
  • report violations of community rules
  • manage excellent customer service and communication
  • project a positive image of the community
  • enforce community policies as directed
  • participate in on-call emergency duties
