Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must have the ability to stand during entire shift
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, lift, shake, stir, pour, carry and push
- Ability to read orders on tickets, menu boards, receipts, etc
- Frequent contact with water, cleaning and sanitation solutions, meat, poultry, seafood, and produce items
- Frequent washing of hands
- Must notify management with sufficient lead time if unable to report to work
- Ability to follow established recipes and procedures
- Completion of station certifications and assessments
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in fast-food or restaurant environment beneficial
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to company policies
- Willingness to learn and participate in certification programs
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices

Job Duties
- Protects and promotes the Whataburger brand at all times
- Notifies management if unable to report to work as scheduled
- Checks with management prior to leaving the restaurant
- Recognizes and communicates customer service problems to management
- Attends all meetings and training sessions
- Submits requests for work schedule changes according to guidelines
- Demonstrates Whataburger’s family value proposition of pride, care, and love
- Learns and improves job skills through performance appraisals
- Adheres to company policy guidelines

- Follows proper lifting, cleaning, and safety procedures
- Cleans customer service and dining areas thoroughly
- Disposes of trash properly

- Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned
- Maintains effective working relationships within the team
- Supports customer service by stocking stations to ensure continuous service
- Answers phone courteously according to company procedures
- Demonstrates fiscal responsibility and follows cash handling policies
