Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of relevant experience or training
- Ability to maintain professional and team-oriented attitude under stress
- Must obtain San Diego County Food Handler certification upon hire
- RBS certification required
- Availability to work weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods and lift up to 25 lbs
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1-2 years of relevant experience and/or training
- Combination of experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for requirements
- Previous similar position in a hotel or similar business preferred
- Ability to maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor especially under stress
- Must be able to obtain San Diego County Food Handler certification upon hire
- RBS certification required
- Availability to work weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods and lift up to 25 lbs
Job Duties
- Cordially and professionally presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service
- Employs suggestive selling techniques to stimulate sales
- Actively observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed
- Ensures beverages at guests' tables are consistently filled and maintained
- Checks with guests 3-4 minutes after serving meals to ensure satisfaction
- Maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the entire pool deck section
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of menus including cooking times and ingredients
- Performs additional duties as directed by the leadership team
