Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years relevant experience and/or training
- ability to maintain friendly, professional, team-oriented positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude
- must attain valid San Diego County Food Handler certification upon hire
- RBS certification required
- availability to work weekends and holidays
- physical ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- compliance with California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- at least 1-2 years of relevant experience and/or training
- combination of experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for either requirement
- previous similar position in a hotel or related business preferred
- ability to maintain friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude under stress
- must obtain valid San Diego County Food Handler certification upon hire
- RBS certification required
- availability to work weekends and holidays
- ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods and lift up to 25 lbs
Job Duties
- Cordially and professionally presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service
- employs suggestive selling techniques to stimulate sales
- actively observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed
- ensures beverages at guests' tables are consistently filled and maintained
- checks with the guest after 3-4 minutes after serving meals to ensure satisfaction
- responsible for cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of entire pool deck section
- possesses complete knowledge of menus including cooking time and ingredients
- performs additional duties as directed by leadership team
