Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Must be legally permitted to serve alcohol
  • Prior bartending experience preferred
  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods
  • Ability to handle cash and operate POS systems
  • Availability to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Excellent customer service skills

Job Qualifications

  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written
  • High work ethic and self-initiative
  • Ability to work in high pressure and fast paced situations
  • Experience using MICROS or similar POS systems
  • Knowledge of drink recipes and bar operations
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Maintain bar supplies efficiently including preparation of daily requisition
  • Be familiar with all kinds of liquor, drink recipes, prices, proper glassware, and garnishes
  • Know drink recipes, prices, and types of beverages available
  • Follow accurate cash handling including discounting, MICROS system usage, bank procedures, and tip policies
  • Accurately charge guests and process all monies
  • Anticipate guest needs and maintain positive guest relations
  • Resolve guest complaints ensuring satisfaction
  • Complete formal liquor liability training within 30 days of employment and every two years thereafter
