Job Requirements
- At least a high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in high-volume food and beverage service
- US work authorization
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends holidays and evenings
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks
- Knowledge of safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to operate POS systems
- Good communication skills
Job Qualifications
- At least 2 years of high-volume serving experience preferably in a luxury hotel or resort
- Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills
- Extensive knowledge of wine beer and spirits
- Ability to upsell
- Strong time management skills ability to multitask set priorities and adjust to changing conditions
- Willing to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to operate all computer equipment necessary to perform the job knowledge of Opera and Micros POS preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ability to work closely with other departments and communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and guests
- Ability to lift carry and move up to 30 lbs
Job Duties
- Describe the selection of food and beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting and vivid descriptions of each items origin taste and preparation methods
- Confirm guest orders including any special needs or requests using the hotel’s point-of-sales system
- Check completed orders with guest’s original order
- Coordinate food timings
- Transport items to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality
- Anticipate guest needs ascertain satisfaction and offer suggestions and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests
- Properly and accurately close guest checks
- process cash and credit card payments
- properly settle voided checks or complimentary items
