Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous dishwashing or kitchen experience preferred
  • ability to stand and walk throughout shift
  • physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • willingness to work in damp and high-temperature environment
  • completion of food safety certification program
  • ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures
  • good communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Can physically stand and walk 100 percent of shift
  • can reach, bend, stoop
  • can immerse hands in water frequently diluted with chemical solutions
  • ability to speak, read, and write English
  • able to lift up to 50 lbs several times per shift and place on high shelves, coolers, freezers
  • work in damp, high-temperature environments indoors and minimally outdoors
  • work safely with hot plates, pots, pans
  • work safely with sharp knives and utensils
  • support fellow employees as needed
  • complete and pass food safety certification program in compliance with Flanigan's and Florida statutes

Job Duties

  • Follow all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
  • wash and provide clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan's sanitation policies
  • clean and sanitize throughout shift
  • maintain kitchen area cleanliness including sweeping, mopping, and debris removal
  • perform assigned prep work, opening and closing duties, and beautification duties
  • prepare and maintain dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing
