Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum age of 20 years
- U.S. citizenship
- Valid and insurable driver's license
- Possession of APOSTC certification
- Firearm, NCIC, Draeger, Taser, First Aid and CPR certifications
- Ability to work nonstandard hours, rotating shifts and emergency call-backs
- Ability to travel as required
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and initial drug screen
Job Qualifications
- Possess Alabama Peace Officers Standards and Training Commission (APOSTC) certification
- High school diploma or GED
- Current and valid driver's license
- Firearm, NCIC, Draeger, Taser, First Aid and CPR certifications
- Ability to work nonstandard hours and rotating shifts
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Strong communication skills
Job Duties
- Perform patrol duties within assigned area
- Respond to and investigate complaints
- Provide security for court and special events
- Issue traffic citations and conduct traffic control
- Prepare and submit accurate reports
- Maintain and inspect equipment and uniforms
- Engage in community relations and public safety activities
