Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • five years of direct floor experience at poker supervisor level or higher
  • ability to pass a basic math exam
  • must be at least 18 years old
  • no felony, theft or stealing convictions
  • successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol screen
  • background investigation
  • obtain and maintain gaming license
  • knowledge of Title 31
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to multi-task
  • ability to investigate and analyze information
  • ability to work irregular shifts
  • physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ability to occasionally lift 25 pounds
  • knowledge of poker rules and casino operations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • preferred bachelor's degree in Business Administration
  • five years of full-time poker supervisory experience or equivalent
  • knowledge of poker operations
  • ability to pass math exam
  • knowledge of Title 31 requirements
  • understanding of public relations and customer service
  • problem-solving skills
  • knowledge of security and surveillance
  • knowledge of casino floor operations
  • ability to communicate effectively in English

Job Duties

  • Practice outstanding guest service
  • promote teamwork and create a fun, friendly atmosphere
  • develop and maintain policies for poker training
  • ensure compliance with casino and departmental policies
  • promote skill enhancement
  • adhere to Tohono O'odham Gaming Enterprise policies
  • enforce department, casino, and regulatory procedures
  • manage daily poker operations including labor costs and game mix
  • greet guests and maintain inviting atmosphere
  • review poker schedules
  • coach dealers and supervisors
  • ensure dealer and supervisor efficiency
  • identify and develop guest play
  • detect and address advantage play
  • coordinate with surveillance against cheating and fraud
  • estimate shift win/loss
  • maintain supplies
  • perform subordinate duties as needed
  • safeguard casino assets
  • take disciplinary actions as necessary
  • review hold percentage
  • perform other duties as assigned
