Job Requirements

  • 1-3 years of cooking experience in the hospitality industry preferred
  • prior experience in food and beverage service and food preparation roles
  • proficient in hot and cold food preparation techniques
  • strong understanding of sanitation standards and health codes
  • ability to operate kitchen equipment such as slicers, mixers, grinders, food processors, grills, deep fryers
  • capable of thriving in a fast-paced work environment
  • must possess food safety certification or be able to obtain it upon employment

Job Duties

  • prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu specifications
  • weigh, measure, mix, and prep ingredients accurately
  • utilize various cooking techniques including steaming, grilling, boiling, baking, and frying for meats, fish, vegetables, and other ingredients
  • check food and ingredients for freshness and quality
  • arrange and garnish dishes beautifully for presentation
  • work efficiently under pressure and meet time constraints
  • maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, equipment, and utensils
  • assist in leading and inspiring kitchen staff alongside the Executive Chef and Kitchen Supervisor
  • contribute to special events and banquets as needed
  • perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or Kitchen Supervisor, including prepping, cooking, and stocking
