Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • One year of receptionist or general clerical experience
  • Ability to read, write and speak English and Spanish
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to operate telephone switchboard
  • Ability to manage information and direct visitors
  • Willingness to undergo background screening and drug testing
  • Availability to work flexible hours

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • One year of experience as a receptionist or in general clerical work
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish languages
  • Ability to perform clerical tasks accurately
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple duties simultaneously

Job Duties

  • Greet visitors and provide first source of information
  • Answer calls to the main County number and route to appropriate departments
  • Respond to basic questions concerning department services
  • Maintain and update the list of departments for call routing
  • Provide directions and escort visitors as needed
  • Manage the sign-in and sign-out process for mobility devices
  • Train and support youth summer interns at the Information Desk
  • Manage and secure Lost and Found items
  • Maintain the Surplus web page on the employee website
  • Keep stock of printed County materials for public distribution
