Job Requirements

  • Passion for creating amazing experiences for clients and guests
  • Thorough knowledge of food and beverage items
  • Creative thinking and strategic skills
  • Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a server in a high-volume casual or fine dining restaurant or hotel
  • Experience with Micros and Open Table preferred
  • Must be TABC and Food Handler certified
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
  • Ability to handle difficult situations diplomatically
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to perform all duties of the job

Job Duties

  • Embody the shared values of Hotel Drover
  • Assist culinary staff with front line set up
  • Manage multiple functions and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
  • Build and maintain relationships with guests and stakeholders
  • Greet and welcome guests promptly
  • Receive and process guest orders accurately in the POS system
  • Prepare and serve meal accompaniments
  • Learn and maintain knowledge of food, wine, and beverage menu items
  • Resolve guest complaints by escalating to management
  • Perform side work and station setup and breakdown
  • Assist with seating guests, bussing tables, taking to-go orders, and answering phones
  • Attend company and restaurant trainings and meetings
  • Maintain communication with support staff and management
