Job Requirements
- Passion for creating amazing experiences for clients and guests
- Thorough knowledge of food and beverage items
- Creative thinking and strategic skills
- Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a server in a high-volume casual or fine dining restaurant or hotel
- Experience with Micros and Open Table preferred
- Must be TABC and Food Handler certified
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Ability to handle difficult situations diplomatically
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform all duties of the job
Job Duties
- Embody the shared values of Hotel Drover
- Assist culinary staff with front line set up
- Manage multiple functions and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
- Build and maintain relationships with guests and stakeholders
- Greet and welcome guests promptly
- Receive and process guest orders accurately in the POS system
- Prepare and serve meal accompaniments
- Learn and maintain knowledge of food, wine, and beverage menu items
- Resolve guest complaints by escalating to management
- Perform side work and station setup and breakdown
- Assist with seating guests, bussing tables, taking to-go orders, and answering phones
- Attend company and restaurant trainings and meetings
- Maintain communication with support staff and management
