Job Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred but not required
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- strong customer service orientation and attention to detail
- basic math skills for handling transactions and managing orders
- ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for extended periods
- ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
- must have a reliable schedule and be available for nights, weekends, and holidays as required
- compliance with Ugly Dumpling's dress code and personal appearance standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience as a server or in customer service roles is an asset
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards is beneficial
- strong communication skills

- ability to handle cash and use POS systems accurately

Job Duties
- Welcome guests warmly, explain menu items including daily specials, and answer guest questions about ingredients, allergens, or preparation methods
- take accurate orders and communicate dietary needs or preferences to the kitchen
- serve food and beverages promptly and monitor guest needs throughout the meal
- respond to guest feedback courteously, resolve issues, and escalate concerns to the manager when necessary
- maintain a comprehensive understanding of the menu including food and beverage offerings, preparation methods, and promotions
- use the POS system accurately for order entry and payment processing
- coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and timely delivery of orders
- assist with food presentation standards to uphold quality
- adhere to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- maintain a clean and organized work area including service stations and dining spaces
- support opening and closing duties, restock supplies, and prepare the dining area for service
- collaborate with other servers, bartenders, kitchen staff, and management to ensure guest satisfaction
- assist with tasks such as refilling water, clearing tables, resetting for next guests, and supporting special events
- perform other duties as assigned
