Job Requirements

- Certified in all stations as a shift leader following the DHC training program
- Positive attitude while conducting duties
- Commitment to guest satisfaction with a guest-focused mindset
- Effective communicator with co-workers and management
- Excellent organization and planning skills
- Strong time management, delegation, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred
Job Duties
- Follow the steps outlined in the DHC training program to learn and train new skills, duties, and responsibilities
- Abide by and enforce the rules and direction given by the restaurant management team and refrain from insubordination
- Communicate to immediate supervisor when additional training guidance and practice is needed
- Conduct operations walks and quality assurance checks consistently to correct areas of opportunity
- Organize shift schedules for team members and monitor attendance, tardiness, and time off
- Assign duties based on team member roles and skills
- Greet guests, record orders, and serve food and beverages with a positive attitude
- Ensure team members prepare menu items following cooking instructions, safety procedures, and sanitation
- Use kitchen machinery and equipment such as fryers, warmers, and ice cream dispensers
- Delegate and oversee restaurant cleanliness tasks daily including clearing tables, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing
- Handle guest concerns professionally and calmly according to restaurant policy
- Maintain a neat appearance in uniform following DHC uniform policy
- Provide supervision, feedback, and performance communication to maintain productivity and morale
- Train new and current team members
- Balance cash drawers and prepare deposits as assigned
- Assist the assistant general manager and general manager as directed
- Plan, organize, and implement daily operational routines alongside shift leaders
- Complete required administrative duties and paperwork
- Supervise opening and closing activities
- Foster an environment of trust for honest communication
- Serve as a role model in business and personnel practices
- Follow company guidelines for food, cash, and cost control
- Communicate effectively to resolve interpersonal issues
