Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
- one to two years engineering experience
- ability to visually review documents and computer screen
- ability to walk or stand for extended periods during shift
- ability to safely operate hotel equipment
- ability to climb ladders about 30 feet
- ability to perform physical tasks requiring motor coordination
- availability to work varying schedules
- compliance with hotel safety guidelines including proper handling of chemicals and use of PPE
- ability to maintain grooming and behavioral standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
- some college or college degree preferred
- degree in hospitality management preferred
- one to two years engineering experience
- prior experience within a four star hotel brand preferred
- ability to utilize computer software and hardware
- ability to learn and communicate effectively via company issued communication devices
- advanced ability to comprehend and speak English, knowledge of additional language(s) preferred
- customer-service oriented with excellent hospitality skills
- basic mathematical skills
Job Duties
- Trash pickup, sweeping, mopping and power washing
- operate a lift
- climb ladders to reach heights about 30 feet
- changing of light bulbs, perform electrical repair including switches and plugs and trace wiring, reporting of status and inventory
- changing of air filters and make repairs to chilled water valves and electrical component change out, reporting of status and inventory
- guestrooms preventive maintenance program including changing bulbs and filters, minor touch up of furniture, minor electrical and plumbing repairs such as commodes, faucets (remove and reset), lamp repair, grouting, caulking and cleaning, painting touch up and minor wallpaper repairs
- meeting rooms and public area upkeep with similar maintenance duties as guestrooms
- back of house area upkeep including installation of VCT and minor repairs to stone and glazed tile
- check work order assignment board daily and complete assignments on a timely fashion in order of priority
- working knowledge of carpentry, paint, tile, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and general mechanical maintenance
- working knowledge of fire panel operation
- thorough knowledge of pool and spa operations and maintenance
- working knowledge of elevator operations
- ability to maintain inventories and assess needs and areas for repair
