Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food preparation preferred
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Must maintain professional appearance and teamwork attitude
  • Physical capability to lift or carry up to 100 lbs consistently
  • Adherence to safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to follow recipes and food portion guidelines

Job Duties

  • Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards per server check
  • Start food items prepared ahead of time ensuring not to over prepare
  • Date all food containers and rotate per Crescent standards keeping perishables at proper temperatures
  • Check pars for shift use and determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up
  • Return unused food items to designated storage areas covering and dating perishables
  • Assist in developing plans to correct food cost problems, control food waste, loss and usage
  • Operate, maintain and clean kitchen equipment including deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron and flat top grill
  • Comply with attendance rules and perform other assigned job related duties
