Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 5 years industry experience
  • valid State Food Handler's License
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to follow kitchen safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years industry experience
  • ability to cook proteins to predetermined temperatures
  • ability to cook and direct a banquet up to 100 guests with a small team
  • possession of necessary State Food Handler's License(s)
  • ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
  • effective communication skills in one-on-one and small group settings
  • working knowledge of all mother and minor sauces
  • working knowledge of proper butchering techniques
  • knowledge of specialized kitchen equipment including slicer, Robo-coup, Hobart, and convection ovens
  • proficient knife skills
  • ability to adjust food preparation for flavor and accommodate customer needs promptly

Job Duties

  • Prepare new menu items and daily preparation requirements
  • provide guidance to line cooks
  • conduct inventories
  • ensure sanitary and well-maintained food preparation areas
  • ensure safe food handling practices
  • perform opening and closing kitchen procedures
  • accommodate customer needs in a timely manner
