Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- One-year experience in related field preferred
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment including deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, or flat top grill
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Ability to follow recipes and portion control instructions
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Commitment to professionalism and teamwork
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Prepares a variety of hot and cold food items such as salad, sauces, side dishes, and appetizers
- Portions, washes, peels, slices and mixes vegetables, fruits, pastas and other ingredients for entrees, appetizers, salads and garnishes
- Carves and slices meats, cheese
- Measures and mixes ingredient to make salad dressings, sauces, salads and hot and cold food items following recipes
- Washes, peels, chops or dices food and vegetables
- Slices cold meats and prepares seafood
- Prepares an extensive variety of cold food items utilizing standardized recipes and portions food as specified
- Tastes all food prepared to ensure proper flavor, texture and consistency
- Washes and cleans all utensils, preparation equipment and counters required for production
- Ensures that sanitation standards are maintained
- Complies with standards of personal cleanliness and proper uniform at all times
- Selects, maintains and reports any damage to knives, hand tools, utensils and equipment
- Assists in prep work of vegetables and condiments as required for the next shift
- Complies with management and peers assisting with other duties, if needed
- Demonstrates awareness of costs relative to this position
- Exhibits professionalism, honesty and passion at all times
