Job Requirements

  • Passion for learning and the culinary arts
  • Minimum of two years experience as an entry-level cook or higher
  • Minimum of three years experience in either a free-standing or hotel restaurant kitchen
  • Knowledge of food safety guidelines and requirements including SafeStaff standards
  • Adaptable interpersonal communication skills
  • Conversational proficiency of English in reading, writing, and verbal communication
  • Ability to calculate basic math principles for menu ingredients and inventory
  • Capability to work in fast-paced environment for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, balance, and carry up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to lift, balance, and carry with assistance up to 100 lbs
  • Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods
  • Ability to withstand warm to hot environments while utilizing ovens, stoves, or fryers

  • Take pride in the food prepared for guests, adhering to recipes, presentation standards, and guest preferences
  • Work in an organized fashion respecting ingredients, equipment, and workspace
  • Demonstrate professional sense of urgency while mindful of technique to provide an amazing guest experience
  • Possess a basic understanding of culinary skills and strive to learn more through constant study
  • Foster open communication within the department by participating in lineups and meetings to voice ideas and concerns
  • Participate in feedback sessions with Culinary leadership to develop skillset
  • Observe and report conditions of physical facilities and equipment needing correction
  • Maintain communication with Culinary leadership to ensure alignment on priorities and flexibility in responsibilities
