Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current Food Handler Card
  • Minimum of 2 years cooking experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of broiler and sauté cooking
  • Ability to follow recipes and portion control guidelines
  • Knowledge of sanitation and safety procedures
  • Physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in hot and confined kitchen environments
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Ability to work flexible shifts in a 24/7 operation

Job Qualifications

  • Hold a current Food Handler Card
  • Two years cooking experience preferred
  • Experience with broiler cooking preferred
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation standards
  • Familiarity with guest relations and etiquette
  • Good knowledge of broiler and sauté cooking fundamentals
  • Understanding of sanitation standards
  • Experience operating kitchen equipment such as stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, and steamers
  • Basic math skills for recipes and portion control
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English
  • Ability to apply written product labeling instructions
  • Capable of operating beverage equipment

Job Duties

  • Prepares daily preparation lists for production
  • Reads and employs math skills to follow recipes
  • Prepares all broiled and sautéed food items according to standard recipes and guest specifications
  • Visually inspects, selects, and uses high-quality food items for menu preparation
  • Checks and controls proper storage and portion control of products
  • Keeps refrigeration, equipment, storage, and working areas clean and compliant with health regulations
  • Maintains logs for cooling, heating, and temperature
  • Adheres to company policies and safety procedures
  • Reports unsafe conditions and accidents to management
  • Assists other kitchen personnel as needed
  • Maintains a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
