Job Requirements

  • Must have 1+ year high-volume restaurant experience
  • must have food handlers certification
  • excellent communication skills
  • availability to work weekends and some holidays
  • able to stand for long periods of time, lift up to 25 pounds, and continuously bend, reach, and twist
  • must be reliable and dependable

Job Qualifications

  • Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
  • hospitality-related kitchen experience preferred
  • must have food handlers certification
  • excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
  • familiarity with the industry's best practices
  • attention to detail
  • accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • strong communication skills

Job Duties

  • Strong knife skills and a range of cooking methods
  • prepare food from scratch by following our recipes to produce consistent results
  • must be able to prepare all menu items
  • set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
  • prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
  • answer, report, and follow executive or sous chef's instructions
  • clean up the station and take care of leftover food
  • stock inventory appropriately
  • ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
  • comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers
