Job Requirements
- Must have 1+ year high-volume restaurant experience
- must have food handlers certification
- excellent communication skills
- availability to work weekends and some holidays
- able to stand for long periods of time, lift up to 25 pounds, and continuously bend, reach, and twist
- must be reliable and dependable
Job Qualifications
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
- hospitality-related kitchen experience preferred
- must have food handlers certification
- excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- familiarity with the industry's best practices
- attention to detail
- accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- strong communication skills
Job Duties
- Strong knife skills and a range of cooking methods
- prepare food from scratch by following our recipes to produce consistent results
- must be able to prepare all menu items
- set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- answer, report, and follow executive or sous chef's instructions
- clean up the station and take care of leftover food
- stock inventory appropriately
- ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers
