Job Qualifications
- Must have 1+ year high-volume restaurant experience
- Must have Food Handlers Certification
- Proven cooking experience including experience as a Line Chef, Restaurant Cook or Prep Cook
- Excellent communication skills
- Hospitality-related kitchen experience preferred
- Current food handler's care and other certifications as required by federal, state, or local law
Job Duties
- Prepare food from scratch by following recipes to produce consistent results
- Must be able to prepare all menu items
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces
- Answer, report, and follow executive or sous chef's instructions
- Clean up the station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers
