Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Several years of culinary management experience
  • Familiarity with hospitality food service operations
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Capability to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment
  • Proficient in labor management and scheduling tools

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in culinary leadership
  • Strong knowledge of food cost controls and inventory management
  • Expertise in menu planning and recipe development
  • Ability to mentor and develop kitchen staff
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience in hospitality industry preferred

Job Duties

  • Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
  • Oversee daily operations of the Kitchen department, including banquets, outlets, in room dining, staff cafeteria and stewarding
  • Responsible for the execution of the hotel's strategic plan as it relates to all culinary areas
  • Role model service promises and ensure all reporting departments focus on delivery of service essentials
  • Develop and prepare menus balancing creativity and guest requests with presentation and food quality
  • Maintain food and beverage standards through standardized recipes and safe food handling practices
  • Optimize profitability through inventory monitoring, food cost controls and promotional initiatives
