Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Several years of culinary management experience
- Familiarity with hospitality food service operations
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Capability to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment
- Proficient in labor management and scheduling tools
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in culinary leadership
- Strong knowledge of food cost controls and inventory management
- Expertise in menu planning and recipe development
- Ability to mentor and develop kitchen staff
- Understanding of health and safety regulations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in hospitality industry preferred
Job Duties
- Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
- Oversee daily operations of the Kitchen department, including banquets, outlets, in room dining, staff cafeteria and stewarding
- Responsible for the execution of the hotel's strategic plan as it relates to all culinary areas
- Role model service promises and ensure all reporting departments focus on delivery of service essentials
- Develop and prepare menus balancing creativity and guest requests with presentation and food quality
- Maintain food and beverage standards through standardized recipes and safe food handling practices
- Optimize profitability through inventory monitoring, food cost controls and promotional initiatives
