Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year sous chef or lead cook experience in restaurant or hotel
  • Minimum of 3 years line cook experience
  • Knowledge of health department regulations and cooking temperatures
  • Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, holidays
  • Physical ability to perform kitchen duties
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous hotel and union experience preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as sous chef or lead cook in a restaurant or hotel setting
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a line cook
  • Working knowledge of health department regulations and proper cooking and holding temperatures
  • Proficiency in managing all hot line stations including pantry, cold food, hot food, and protein breakdown
  • Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Previous hotel and union experience considered a plus

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef in directing and overseeing all culinary operations
  • Prepare and produce all hotel meals ensuring food quality and presentation
  • Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and health regulations
  • Develop and implement menu selections for special banquets and events
  • Supervise and monitor team member performance including training, scheduling, and evaluations
  • Control food costs and maintain profitability
  • Promote a positive and productive work environment
