Job Requirements
- Must have and maintain an active handlers' card (ServSafe) and adhere to local food handler requirements
- Maintain punctuality and attendance
- Perform all duties responsibly and efficiently
- Ability to lift and carry items between 20-40 pounds, occasionally with assistance
- Good or correctable vision
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, squat, kneel, and maintain balance
- Adhere to safety guidelines when working with chemicals and hot equipment
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-1 year experience in a full-service kitchen environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members
- Understanding of safety and sanitation practices
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and usage
- Professional appearance
- Ability to maintain a sense of urgency
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Load, run, and unload dishwashing machine ensuring all dishes, glassware, and utensils are sanitized properly
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation for pots, pans, and trays requiring hand washing
- Sort and rinse dirty dishes and place them in racks for dish machine
- Sort and stack clean and dry dishes
- Transport clean dishes to cooks' line and storage areas
- Change dishwater in dish machine every hour
- Sort and remove trash to designated pickup areas
- Fill and empty soaking tubs with cleaning and sanitizing solutions
- Sweep, scrub, and mop floors
- Maintain dish pit cleanliness
- Notify manager of any dish machine malfunctions
- Clean garbage cans with water or steam
- Monitor and report equipment problems
- Clean and scrub walls
- Prepare and clean various foods as needed
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines from OSHA and health departments
- Perform other duties as assigned
