Job Requirements

  • Must have and maintain an active handlers' card (ServSafe) and adhere to local food handler requirements
  • Maintain punctuality and attendance
  • Perform all duties responsibly and efficiently
  • Ability to lift and carry items between 20-40 pounds, occasionally with assistance
  • Good or correctable vision
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, squat, kneel, and maintain balance
  • Adhere to safety guidelines when working with chemicals and hot equipment
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

Job Qualifications

  • 0-1 year experience in a full-service kitchen environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members

Job Duties

  • Load, run, and unload dishwashing machine ensuring all dishes, glassware, and utensils are sanitized properly
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation for pots, pans, and trays requiring hand washing
  • Sort and rinse dirty dishes and place them in racks for dish machine
  • Sort and stack clean and dry dishes
  • Transport clean dishes to cooks' line and storage areas
  • Change dishwater in dish machine every hour
  • Sort and remove trash to designated pickup areas
  • Fill and empty soaking tubs with cleaning and sanitizing solutions
  • Sweep, scrub, and mop floors
  • Maintain dish pit cleanliness
  • Notify manager of any dish machine malfunctions
  • Clean garbage cans with water or steam
  • Monitor and report equipment problems
  • Clean and scrub walls
  • Prepare and clean various foods as needed
  • Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines from OSHA and health departments
  • Perform other duties as assigned
