Job Requirements
- Must have and maintain an active Handlers' Card (ServSafe) and adhere to local food handler requirements
- Maintain an exceptional personal record of punctuality and attendance
- Consistently perform all duties responsibly and efficiently
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Willingness to comply with all safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift and carry up to 40 pounds with assistance as needed
- Good or correctable vision required to safely perform duties
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-1 year experience in a full-service kitchen environment
- Able to communicate effectively with team members
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and sanitation standards
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
Job Duties
- Load, run and unload dishwashing machine ensuring dishes and utensils are properly cleaned at sanitation temperatures
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards for pots, pans and trays that require hand washing
- Sort and rinse dirty dishes and cooking utensils preparing them for the dish machine
- Sort and stack clean and dry dishes
- Transport clean dishes to cook's line and proper storage areas
- Change dishwater in dish machine every hour
- Sort and remove trash placing it in designated pickup areas
- Fill and empty soak tubs with cleaning and sanitizing solutions
- Sweep, scrub and mop floors
- Maintain dish pit cleanliness
- Notify manager of any dish machine safety standard temperature issues
- Clean garbage cans with water or steam
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures according to OSHA and local health regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
