Job Requirements

  • Must have and maintain an active Handlers' Card (ServSafe) and adhere to local food handler requirements
  • Maintain an exceptional personal record of punctuality and attendance
  • Consistently perform all duties responsibly and efficiently
  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Willingness to comply with all safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift and carry up to 40 pounds with assistance as needed
  • Good or correctable vision required to safely perform duties

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0-1 year experience in a full-service kitchen environment
  • Able to communicate effectively with team members
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment and sanitation standards
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines

Job Duties

  • Load, run and unload dishwashing machine ensuring dishes and utensils are properly cleaned at sanitation temperatures
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards for pots, pans and trays that require hand washing
  • Sort and rinse dirty dishes and cooking utensils preparing them for the dish machine
  • Sort and stack clean and dry dishes
  • Transport clean dishes to cook's line and proper storage areas
  • Change dishwater in dish machine every hour
  • Sort and remove trash placing it in designated pickup areas
  • Fill and empty soak tubs with cleaning and sanitizing solutions
  • Sweep, scrub and mop floors
  • Maintain dish pit cleanliness
  • Notify manager of any dish machine safety standard temperature issues
  • Clean garbage cans with water or steam
  • Follow all safety and sanitation procedures according to OSHA and local health regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
