Job Requirements

  • Previous kitchen supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to follow recipes and calculate amounts
  • Ability to work in extreme temperature conditions
  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods
  • Ability to stoop, squat, and kneel frequently
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to push, pull, and reach frequently
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to wear closed toe, non-canvas, and non-skid soled shoes

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to follow recipes and calculate amounts within recipes
  • Good, safe knife and equipment skills
  • Proficient in operating standard kitchen equipment such as blender, slicer, grinder, chopper, mixer, oven, grill, steamers, fryers, and tilting skillet
  • Good reading and conversion skills
  • Ability to absorb information quickly
  • Strong judgment, initiative, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to adapt to change and new situations
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to maintain food quality under varying business and staffing levels
  • Ability to make decisions to ensure quality guest service
  • Ability to maintain punctuality and attendance

  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and overtime

Job Duties

  • Prepares a variety of foods with various cooking methods including steaming, baking, boiling, frying, broiling, and grilling
  • Pulls required items in sufficient quantities to prep according to menu forecasts
  • Prepares ingredients including portioning, chopping, and storing food
  • Sets up, clears and breaks down work station
  • Prepares food in accordance with company recipes, quality, and presentation standards
  • Washes and disinfects kitchen area, tools, and equipment
  • Follows safety and sanitation policies and procedures
  • Maintains proper food temperatures and controls waste to maintain food cost
  • Maintains teamwork and open communication with employees and supervisors
  • Works safely and efficiently with kitchen equipment
  • Reports to work on time in complete uniform
