Job Requirements

  • 1 year of cooking experience for pantry/prep cook role
  • up to 5 years of cooking experience for lead cook role
  • physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds frequently or constantly
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body and arms
  • capable of working under variable temperatures and noise levels
  • near vision to see details at close range
  • ability to move quickly and agilely in emergencies
  • ability to work long hours
  • possess good communication skills
  • able to understand and convey information in English
  • culinary training preferred

Job Qualifications

  • culinary training in a college setting preferred
  • 1 to 5 years of prior cooking experience in a hotel kitchen or related field
  • banquet, fine dining, and line experience preferred for certain roles

Job Duties

  • prepare delicious high quality food for restaurant and banquet guests based on established guidelines
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas following all sanitation and safe food handling procedures
  • work safely by following hotel safety and security policies and procedures
  • ensure timely and accurate preparation of food items for all outlets
  • contribute to a harmonious teamwork environment in the kitchen
  • assist and train other kitchen staff as needed
  • prepare all cold food items including salads, cold appetizers, desserts, sandwiches, and salad dressings
  • deliver breakfast meals with consistency and professionalism
