Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of professional baking experience
- Ability to work from 5pm to 1am
- Physical stamina to handle standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work early mornings weekends and holidays
- Strong adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to operate baking equipment safely
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- 1+ year of professional baking experience preferably in bread viennoiserie or pastry production
- Strong understanding of baking processes including proofing fermentation and lamination preferred but not required
- Ability to manage time effectively in a high-volume fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Flexibility to work early mornings weekends and holidays as needed
- A team-oriented mindset and willingness to take direction
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
Job Duties
- Prepare proof and bake a variety of products following established recipes and production guidelines
- Execute baking schedules to ensure timely delivery without compromising quality
- Monitor and maintain consistency in taste texture and presentation across all baked goods
- Safely operate mixers ovens proofers and other baking equipment
- Maintain a clean organized and food-safe workspace adhering to hygiene and safety standards
- Work closely with other bakers and kitchen staff to meet production goals efficiently
- Identify and address any issues during the baking process to ensure quality and timeliness
